Description: Speed isn't just about skating harder, it's about skating better.

These sessions break down the technical details that determine how efficiently a player creates and maintains speed. We work on stride mechanics, acceleration, quick starts, edge control, turns, transitions and changes of direction, with a strong focus on body position, blade placement, weight transfer, timing and force application.

Our coaching is highly technical and individualized. Players aren't simply put through drills (insert eye roll), they are coached through the details of how they move, with constant correction and feedback throughout each session. Small adjustments can create significant changes, and our goal is for players to feel and demonstrate those improvements from one session to the next.

The result is a more efficient, powerful and technically sound skater who can generate speed more effectively and use it throughout the demands of the game.

Ages: 7-10 yrs old

Dates: January 6, 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, 17, 24, March 3, 10

Times: 4:15pm - 5:15pm

Cost: $600 (10 hrs of ice)

PLEASE NOTE: 


• Open to hockey and ringette players.

 

• There will be no makeup sessions for missed ice times.  

• Danielle's role with the Calgary Flames can create unexpected conflicts in her schedule. An experienced and qualified My Hockey House coach will fill in for any sessions that Danielle is called away.
