Program: AUGUST Speed Fundamentals for Try Outs U15 & U18 Description: Skating is the ultimate separator at tryouts, and speed is the first thing coaches notice. This program delivers high-level coaching built on detailed technical instruction, not just mindless drill cycles. Repetition of proper technique is critical for development, but it must be purposeful. Every technique taught or drill we run reinforces correct movement patterns, and every rep is backed by explanation and feedback. We teach athletes why they move the way they do so adjustments stick. When players understand biomechanics, edge control, and power transfer, improvement becomes permanent, not temporary. In this program, players develop: Explosive first-step accelerationElite stride efficiency and top-end speedPowerful effective crossoversAdvanced backward skating mechanicsEfficient turns and transitionsEdge control under game-like intensity We provide real-time correction and demand attention to detail, because at every level, small technical adjustments create major performance gains. Ages: 13 - 17 yrs old Dates: August 24, 25, 26, 27 Times: 5:45pm - 7:00pm Cost: $300 (5 hours of ice) PLEASE NOTE:  Open to hockey and ringette players. Danielle's role with the Calgary Flames can create unexpected conflicts in her schedule. An experienced and qualified My Hockey House coach will fill in for any sessions that Danielle is called away for. There will be no makeup sessions for missed ice times.
