Program: SUMMER Speed Fundamentals U13 & U15 Description: This technical skating program for speed is designed for parents who want to see real improvement, not just another drill-based skating program. Too often, players spend hours skating through drills without truly understanding how to skate faster or more efficiently. In this program, players are taught how and why skating techniques work, so improvements actually stick and show up in games. Players will learn: How to generate speed using efficient, modern skating mechanicsHow proper technique improves agility, balance, and powerWhy some traditional skating cues, while well-intentioned, can limit progressHow to apply speed and movement skills confidently in game situations Unlike programs that simply run drills, our focus is on active teaching and meaningful feedback. Coaches provide clear explanations and specific corrections so players know exactly what to adjust and how to improve. This allows players to make progress every session instead of guessing what “felt right.” At our company, effective teaching is the priority. Parents should expect to see visible improvements every session, increased confidence in their child’s skating, and a player who understands their movement, not just one who has completed another set of drills. Ages: 11 - 14 yrs old Dates & Times: June 29, 30, July 1 (Winsport), 2 (6:00pm - 7:15pm) July 6, 7, 8, 9 (4:30pm - 5:45pm) July 13, 14, 15, 16 (4:30pm - 5:45pm) July 20, 21, 22, 23 (4:30pm - 5:45pm) July 27, 28, 29, 30 (4:30pm - 5:45pm) Cost: $300 (5 hours of ice) per week Dates & Times: August 4, 5, 6 (4:15pm - 5:30pm) August 7, 14, 21 (4:30pm - 5:45pm) Cost: $225 (3.75 hours of ice) per week PLEASE NOTE:  Open to hockey and ringette players. Danielle's role with the Calgary Flames can create unexpected conflicts in her schedule. An experienced and qualified My Hockey House coach will fill in for any sessions that Danielle is called away for. There will be no makeup sessions for missed ice times.
